April D. Huff has started fielding calls from lawyers, bankers, title abstractors and the public the past week about real estate documents after having been in new role as a deputy clerk of court the past month. "We are very proud and pleased to have April Huff on the Clerk of Court staff team," Clerk of Court Jack Kennedy noted. "April is a diligent, dedicated, and ethical."
Huff's new job title of recording deeds, deeds of trust and the like comes after several years of experience as a legal assistant and title abstractor. With a strong academic background, she will complete her 26-semester hour Geographic Information Systems certificate from Mountain Empire Community College in May 2007. Her appointment has come with glowing remarks from those in the local legal community aware of her work stills in the legal field.
Deputy Clerk of Court Sabrina Stewart Mullins and Huff have primary responsibility for recording, indexing, scanning, and plotting new real estate in Wise County and Norton. They are assisted by Jennifer Maggard.
